We’re a close-knit team at Dunslow Road Vets and we care passionately about looking after your pets. Find out more about our people below.
Richard Hambridge MRCVS BVSc
Richard qualified as a Veterinary Surgeon from Liverpool University in 1990 and worked in different practices before setting up Dunslow Road Vets in 2009. Since setting up the practice, Richard has grown the surgery and is hoping to continue this expansion in the future. In his spare time, Richard enjoys spending time with his wife and children and looking after his many animals; including dogs, chickens, turkeys, fish and many more. He also enjoys going out for long walks and bird watching.
Ania Szymkowiak MRCVS
Ania qualified as a Veterinary Surgeon from Warminsko-Mazurski University in Poland in 2008. She worked in practice in Poland, dealing mainly with small mammals for ten years before coming to the UK and starting to work with us in 2018. In her spare time, Ania loves to go cycling and walking, particularly near the coast. She also enjoys drawing and colouring and her artwork can be seen around the practice.
Lyuba Lukyanova RVN
Lyuba started working for us in October 2018 as our Head Nurse, after completing her Degree in Veterinary Nursing in 2015 with Askham Bryan College York. She has worked in the industry since 2009, working in everything from small animal to farm animal and referral practices; finally coming to settle down with us. In her spare time, she looks after her ginger ninja dog, Midget; and enjoys various outdoor activities such as cycling and rock climbing.
Chloe Greenley RVN
Chloe started working with us in September 2019 as our second RVN. She completed her Diploma in Veterinary Nursing in January 2018 at the College of Animal Welfare Leeds. She has been working in the industry since 2013, starting as a Saturday girl and working her way up. In her spare time, she enjoys looking after and training her rescue horse, Lexi; and taking her rescue dog, Holly on long walks and camping trips with her partner.
Jane has worked for us here since 2017 as one of our receptionists; and says that it is her perfect job as she gets to meet such lovely patients and their humans! In her spare time, she enjoys walking her two Wire-Haired Dachshunds and exploring the lovely countryside. She also enjoys looking after her Grandson which she says is always fun.
Sue joined us in April 2019 as our second receptionist as she wanted to pursue a career which she was passionate about. Prior to working with us, Sue spent 20 years working at a taxi firm in Scarborough and gained her NVQ in Customer Care in 2010. In her spare time, Sue looks after her four children and grandchildren; and enjoys looking after her crazy Burmese Mountain dogs, Chilly and Shadow.
